Our PA Program
Girl Scouts entering grades 7-12 are invited to apply to become a Program Aide, or PA at Camp Evergreen. The first year, you will be a PA in training. Here Scouts will learn valuable leadership skills that will help them throughout their lives. During the day they will learn how to lead songs, program, and activities, how to teach outdoor skills, and how to keep a group on track and focused.
During the evening, the PA's have camp to themselves. This time is set aside to enjoy time making friends and learning new skills with other Scouts of the same age.
Our PA's are an integral part of our camp experience for campers and volunteers alike--we couldn't do it without our PA's--but luckily camp is so much fun that the majority of our PA's return year after year.
Cadettes can also attend camp as campers, or as part of our LIA unit where they earn their Leadership in Action badge and work on camp skills required for entry into our PA program.
PA's begin planning camp in January and meet monthly January through June including a training week-end. Scouts need to attend these meeting in order to participate as a PA or PA in training during camp week
1st year PA registration is $125, trained PA Registration is $60. Registration includes food and lodging from Tuesday through Saturday afternoon.
